Overview
Homebase is a workforce management platform serving hundreds of thousands of small businesses across North America. Their marketing site — built on WordPress — had become a bottleneck for the marketing team, requiring developer involvement for even the simplest content updates.
The Challenge
The existing WordPress setup was slow to iterate on. Performance scores were lagging, deployments were fragile, and every landing page or copy change required opening an engineering ticket. Homebase needed a modern, editor-friendly CMS that the marketing team could own entirely — without sacrificing design fidelity or page speed.
What We Built
We migrated the entire marketing site from WordPress to Webflow, rebuilding the component library and design system from the ground up in the process. The new site features a headless CMS architecture that gives the marketing team full autonomy — publishing pages, updating copy, and managing campaigns without touching code.
Key deliverables:
- Full site migration from WordPress to Webflow
- Custom component library aligned to their brand design system
- Structured CMS setup with reusable content types and fields
- SEO migration including redirect mapping, canonical tags, and structured data
- Core Web Vitals optimization for Lighthouse performance targets
Results
- 90+ Lighthouse performance score post-launch
- Zero developer tickets required for routine content updates
- 3× faster median page load time compared to the legacy WordPress site
- Marketing team fully autonomous within the first week of handoff
